Raised in a Jewish home in New Jersey, Rabbi Jason Sobel dedicated much of his life to finding truth. After years of seeking and studying, he encountered the Lord and found his true destiny as a Jewish follower of Jesus (Yeshua). Suddenly, all the traditions Rabbi Jason grew up with took on new depth and meaning as God connected ancient wisdom with the teachings of the Messiah. Rabbi Jason received his Rabbinic ordination from the UMJC (Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations) in 2005 and has a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. Rabbi Ryan grew up in a Reform Jewish home in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. In college, he came to believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and his life has never been the same. Early on, as a follower of Jesus, Rabbi Ryan developed a passion for helping Jews and Christians understand Christianity’s Jewish roots. After graduating from Winthrop University, he earned his master’s Degree from Liberty University Seminary. Rabbi Ryan has received ordination as a pastor and a Messianic Jewish Rabbi. Over the years, Rabbi Ryan has served in various roles in the church, the Messianic movement, and the Jewish community. He has spoken in hundreds of churches, led trips to Israel, and served as leader of multiple congregations. He has worked closely with highly influential individuals and organizations such as Dr. Michael Brown and First Fruits of Zion. And he remains deeply involved in the Atlanta Jewish community. As the Director of Tribes, Rabbi Ryan’s role is to support the growing network of leaders passionate about learning the Bible in high definition – together. He and his family live in Roswell, Georgia.
